How Do I Qualify for a Car?
Ministry Motors is a mentoring program that repairs donated cars and places them with disadvantaged families in the metro area that need transportation for employment purposes. In order to be eligible for the program, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

- Show proof of insurance or have the ability to be insured
- Have no other working vehicle registered to them or available for transportation.
- Income near or below poverty line
- Ability to pay $500-$1200 placement fee (applied to price of the car, sometimes we can make arrangements for more qualified applicants)
- Never received a car from Ministry Motors in past (some exceptions apply)
If you believe that you meet these guidelines, the next step is to fill out an application in one of the following ways:

If you have questions, please click here. You can also call us at 800-831-8625, but it would be better to just send us your question via the Internet.
We always have more applicants than we do cars, so please understand this and be patient. It is important that you fill out as much of the information as possible so you have a better chance of getting accepted.
For example, applications with a utility bill and a complete phone bill are going to be considered before ones that do not have a utility bill and/or a complete phone bill.
Our Director will review all applications. Candidates that pass our initial selection process will be asked to come in for a visit and possibly a test drive if a car is available. After the interview, the application shall be forwarded to the Ministry Motors Review Board who will make the final determination.
We appreciate your interest and look forward to serving you within our program guidelines.
If you have any questions, please click here. Again, please give us your name and phone number every time you communicate with us.
Thank you.
